It is normal to experience sleepiness and dizziness for 12 to 24 hours after surgery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Post Care:<\/strong>\u00a0You will receive verbal and written post-surgical care instructions (please follow these instructions). You MAY receive charges from several companies.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Berkeley Surgery Center\u00a0 \u2013 facility fee<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anesthesia provider<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laboratory \u2013 pre-operative lab work ordered by your surgeon or anesthesiologist<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your surgeon\u2019s office \u2013 his\/her fee for performing your surgery.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pathologist \u2013 services for tissue specimens removed during surgery requiring further examination.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What type of credit cards do you accept?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We accept all major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>When should I expect my first bill?<\/strong><br \/>\nWe will bill you any balance due after your insurance company has paid your claim. There may be a delay if your insurance company has paid us incorrectly, and we have re-submitted your claim for a corrected payment and allowance determination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are we able to set up a payment plan?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We ask that all balances be paid in full within 60 days. If you encounter problems paying within 60 days, please contact our office immediately at <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">510-756-1011<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and ask for our collections department.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your credit and payment policy?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unless arrangements are made in advance, full payment is due within 60 days of your surgery. Elective and cosmetic surgery procedures must be paid in full prior to your surgery date.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We strongly encourage you to personally contact your insurance company about your upcoming surgery. It is mandatory that YOU, as the insurance subscriber, confirm that all prior authorization information necessary to your specific policy is completed before your surgery date. You may be penalized by your insurance company if you don\u2019t follow your policy guidelines. You must understand what your benefits cover and how this may affect you financially.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will submit insurance claims for you. We may request that your deductible and copay amounts be paid on your date of surgery. You will receive a notice from us regarding the amount to pay.
